Purpose of data processing

Goals

This processing is carried out by INSEE on behalf of the Statistical Confidentiality Committee.

The purpose of this processing is to respond to requests for information or contact addressed to the Committee on Statistical Confidentiality via the site https://www.comite-du-secret.fr/en/.

Legal basis

Article 6 (1) e of the General Data Protection Regulation (RGPD).

This processing is part of the public service missions entrusted to the Statistical Confidentiality Committee (article 6 bis of law no. 51-711 of 7 June 1951 on the obligation, coordination and confidentiality of statistics, chapter II of decree no. 2009-318 of 20 March 2009 on the National Council for Statistical Information and the Statistical Confidentiality Committee).

  • E-mail address;
  • Content of the request.

Data source

The data comes from the registration, by the person expressing a request, of their e-mail, their name and a message in the input fields of the contact form on the www.comite-du-secret.fr/en/ website.

The collection of this data is necessary to enable requests to be processed and replies to be sent to the persons concerned.

Automated decision-making

The processing does not involve automated decision-making.

People concerned

Data processing only concerns people who wish to make a request to the Statistical Confidentiality Committee.

Data recipients

Categories of recipients

Only the Legal Affairs and Litigation Unit and the INSEE Information System Directorate, as well as the members of the Statistical Confidentiality Committee, are recipients of the data.

Data transfers outside the EU

No data is transferred outside the European Union.

Data retention period

Data is kept for 12 months from the date on which the data subject submits his or her request.

Security

The processing of data is subject to strict rules and technical and organisational measures guaranteeing data security and confidentiality. Persons authorised to access data are subject to obligations relating to professional and statistical confidentiality.

Your rights regarding your personal data

You may access and obtain a copy of your personal data or have it corrected. You also have the right to limit the processing of your data and to have it deleted.
